Title:  Integration Architect   (one position)

Responsibilities

Provides integration and consulting services to client functions within and/or across businesses, geographies, or company wide for the purpose of integrating business objectives, processes and procedures with IT solutions. 

This individual will be responsible for all architectural decisions for a large, mission-critical web-based application. The application must have extremely high availability and excellent performance while serving millions of users. This position will report to the Director of Engineering and will work directly with the development team, operations, businesses, and program management.

Required Skills

·          BSCS or equivalent.

·          Effective verbal and written communication skills.

·          Direct experience architecting large, multi-tier, web-based production applications.

·          Experience investigating the scalability of a large application.

·          Good understanding of Internet Security issues and practices.

·          Ability to understand hardware requirements and set up a multi-tiered application on different boxes based on memory requirements, system capacity planning, etc

·          Ability to set up a failover or load balanced environment to scale a J2EE application (understanding of load balancing web servers, clustering app servers, or clustering databases). Also an understanding of hardware like Cisco redirectors to add to the scalability of an application

·          Understanding of the performance issues related to J2EE and Web Services.

·          Understand UML-based models.

·          Understand connection pooling mechanism in J2EE application

·          5+ years experience

Desired Skills

·          Experience with Netegrity SiteMinder.

·          Experience with portal platforms.

·          Ability to juggle multiple projects.
